New York City is home to the largest transportation system in the world. The 2011 New York World Police & Fire Games carefully planned to host sporting events at venues which are conveniently located to public transportation. New York City and the tri-state area are accessible by bus, subway, train and railroad.
The 2011 World Police & Fire Games are proud to partner with New York Water Taxi. From August 27 to September 1 they will be providing service from East 35th Street to all events at Randall's Island. Participating Athletes ride free!
In addition, we have arranged special discounts and rates for Black Car Service. This discounted service is available 24 hours a day; 7 days a week through specially designated 800 numbers. Discounted airport rates have been negotiated and all athletes are encouraged to use this service. As you may already know, private charter bus service is also available, at discounted rates for certain venues.
Please know that the World Police & Fire Games website will carry the most comprehensive and up to date travel information. Maps, schedules, mass transit information and driving directions will be readily available at the Transportation Center during registration. The 2011 World Police & Fire Games organizing committee looks forward to welcoming you soon. For more information please select from the menu option on the left.
